I think blogs let us practice and learn many word that we didn't know before. When you're writing a blog, you don't know many words you want to use, so you have to translate it from your native language. Many times you don't find the best word and you have to ask to your teacher the right and this is a very well way to learn new word that you're gonna use in a real situation. Besides, you can know some dates about your friends who you share classes and this is funny most of times.
Maybe for all of us is too difficult to understand a non-native speaker but at this point, for many of us is easy to talk with a English speaker some light conversation. In this course we've used a lot of expressions that we didn't know before. I think this an advantage for communicate with someone who don't know Spanish.
Here in the University, I've talk with people that I didn't know before and I've got the instance to talk with that people in English. This is a so enjoying experience because many of us don't know the pronunciation of a lot of words and sometimes this is so funny. Despite of this, I think most of us have learned a lot in the course and maybe the best is to get rid of the shame that implies talk in another language.
I've got the lucky of speak English with people outside University. I've tried to talk with foreigners and they've understood me very well. Besides, when I've gone outside country, I could ask for accommodation, markets and places to visit. Thanks to it, I could practice English a lot in a real situation. The bigger challenge is try to understand (or be understood) people who speak "strange" or very quick, many times I couldn't ask for something because I didn't understand a word or a very quick phrase.
For ending, I think my bigger challenge for, someday, become in a fluidly English speaker is practice a lot and learn useful words and expressions for share with another people who don't speak my native language. Read English, Listen and understand English and speak a fluidly English is a goal for me, so I think the first step is use all the opportunities to practice the language and don't be shy if you don't know something, nobody learn another language if they don't use it.
