Post 5: "Your new job"

Maybe in this time of the Chemistry and Pharmacy career we have not thought in what kind of work we want. Despite of this, we have a lot of dreams and delusions about what to do when we be graduated.

In my case, I'll follow an advice that was gave me by a friend's mom. She told me that we should try all the specialists in our career and then take a decision about what part of the career follow.

Now, I think that I'll follow the clinic part of my career because I like it the most. Nobody knows what could happen in (at least) five years more... In that way, I think I would like work in a hospital attending patients and making in practice all that I've learn here. If you let me dream, maybe a good and challenging work would be the pediatric area of an complex hospital. That would be a everyday challenge trying to help little kids and their family.

If we talk about money, I think for now I'd choose a work I like the most instead a well paid work. Obviously it could change (I really hope it doesn't). With a salary that let me live I I'll be fine.

Many countries have years of advancement in comparison with my country so I would like to travel to a country to study new things related my career. Maybe a work could require a "travel worker" and I could be. If this work at the same time let me help patients, that could be my work dream.

Post 4: "From the invisible to the visible world and back"

Many people are suffering a very complex disease. Probably you have listened the word Alzheimer or also known someone that has suffering the disease or someone who has taken care about a sick person Alzheimer. This proves that Alzheimer has got a high prevalence not only in the health problems of the world, but also here in Chile.

Proteins associates to Alzheimer's disease.
The knowledge about this disease is limited by the ignorance of how the disease affect the brain for make people forget all they knew, from their name until how to eat. Scientific community are very interested in how recognize the disease for then know how treat it. In this sense some investigation show a very advance in the biomedical investigation.

"If you know exactly where the disease affect, then you can treat it", that's the phrase which used a scientific group for motivate the investigation about a bio-marker using the knowledge about molecular biology. They wanted to know how some proteins were decreased when another protein was present in more or less quantity.

Comparison about normal and affected brain cells.
Alzheimer's disease show a prevalence on the levels of different proteins (for example, a BA42 protein decreased, the Tau increased, etc.). When we study molecular biology we know how genetic control our proteins levels, so this biomedical advance take all of this world to treat people.

In my career this can be use to make new medicine fot control the different manifestations of the disease. This can a world of knowledge or a world of ignorance. Nobody can ensure that the disease will have a treatment in the short term.

Post 3: About pets, love and friendship

When I was child I didn't know what was having a pet meant. I used to have a puppy that was gave me by my mom but I didn't know how to treat him. His name was Clifford, as the cartoon character, and as soon as my family realized that I treated so bad the dog, they decided to give it away until I could be responsible to having a pet.

Nina's face
Years later, a friend with no enough money to care a dog who had found in the street asked me if I could take care the dog. I told him that I couldn't because I travel to see my family every time I could. Finally the friend's family told him that he had to give the dog immediately or they had to throw the dog to the street. That's so cruel!

When I told to my mom the history of the dog, she decided to accept it in the house with the condition of we would give the dog to another family... This never happened and I stayed with the dog. Her name is Nina.

Nina and me.
Nina arrived at my home in October, 2013. She was just 3 months old and she slept in the garden. Now she sleep with me. Nina is a lazy dog and she is ever sleeping in different places around the house. When I'm at home she is all the time by my side and sometimes she don't let me do my things because she want to be caressed.

We have never known the real dog breed of Nina. She isn't a pure dog but she is a mixed of (at least) two different breeds; Sharpei and Labrador. Despite of what all the veterinarians says I think Nina is just a "quiltro" like it says in Spanish. Thanks to her I know how to treat a dog and I have company when I'm alone at home.

Post 2: My best holiday

Many people think that the most important on holiday is the place you visit or with who you travel but for me exists another aspect of the holiday; the duration.
There's not a coincidence that my best holidays were the last. The holidays of the 2018 summer in my family are called "the longer holidays in your life" because you're graduating of secondary in November and you enter (if you do) to university in March. That's a lot of time!

In that holidays I did a lot of things because I had a lot of time to plan what to do. The first I did was go to visit my family in Lota. There I stayed one month, spending christmas and new year parties. I went to the beach everyday for almost all the month and then I went to the south with friends.

Before to graduate of secondary, my friends and I planed a trip to the south. My best friend has got a house in Pucón so all we went to there. We spending a week in Pucón, traveling around littles towns and hitchhiking for come to all the places that we wanted to go. I think this part made my holidays the best I've have.

Post 1: "A country I'd like to visit".

I've never had an specific country that I'd like to visit. I just prefer to know a lot of countries, no care which one, so now I'm gonna talk about my first destination to visit as soon as I can go out my country alone (not for living or study, just for visiting).

The country that I choose is Vietnam because of the amazing views of one of the "Nature Wonders": Halong Bay. This place has more than a thousand towering limestone to visit in a cruise for until a week on board.

Halong Bay, Vietnam.
In the other part of Vietnam is located the old capital, Ho Chi Minh. There's is a very good destination to know about the Second World War history at the same time you taste new plates of Vietnamese food. The last one is an important aspect to motivate me to visit the country.
Kuang Si Waterfall, Vietnam.
In the other hand, Vietnam isn't a expensive country to visit. The accommodation cost is lower than in Chile or any country of Europe. With food is the same. People say you can eat with just $1 usd. a good plate of vietnamese food even the tours are cheap if you compare with other places.

I would like to visit the most important places of the country from the south to north and then visit the another border country, why not?
